The Newark Fire Department
Brought Back the Rose Parade
Due to lack of interest and finance it is
doubtful that it will be back in 2009
Rose Queen and her Court 2008
A
special thanks to all the major sponsors the Village Board, Newark
Firefighters, Wegmans, Faradyne Motors, Reliant Federal Credit Union, Colacino Electric,
Wal-Mart, several local merchant's for selling duck tickets and donating
time and energy and especially all the many Volunteers too
numerous to mention here for playing a large
part in bringing back, sponsoring and preparing the
Parade, Rose Queen and Princess
Pageant and the Duck Race making them all another big
success.

After 35 years, there is once again a Rose Queen and
Rose Princess in Newark.
The 2006 Rose Queen is Kendall Main; members of her court
are Jazmin Velazquez and Jacqueline Wood.
The Rose Princess is Kayla Allen. On her court are Kayla
Lewis and Angelina Storelli.
